
Michelle Dean was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Graduated from Cal Poly Pomona June 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Specialized Communication. Graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law (J.D. 1995).
Was on moot court and mock trial teams of Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Was a Deputy District Attorney with the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s office from January 1998 through October 1999 – was a member of the misdemeanor trial team and the lead attorney for the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Unit (completed 17 jury trials). Was a Deputy District Attorney with the Merced County District Attorney’s office from October 1999 through February 2006 – was a member of the Juvenile Prosecution Unit – prosecuted Gang cases, Sexual Assault cases and any serious or violent felony and all misdemeanors. Completed 8 jury trials, 50+ juvenile jurisdictional hearings. Joined McGaughey & Spirito April 2006.
